PBBM: Pilipinas, hindi nag-iisa sa problema sa mataas na presyo ng mga bilihin, langis
Ibinahagi ni Pangulong Marcos Jr., na naka-usap niya ang ibang lider ng Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEANS) sa Phnom, Penh, Cambodia at nagkasundo sa pagtutulungan sa pagharap sa mga karaniwang isyu.
Ayon kay Pangulong Marcos Jr., sa kanyang pakikipag-usap nalaman niya hindi natatangi sa Pilipinas ang isyu ng mataas na halaga ng mga bilihin, kasama na ang mga produktong-petrolyo, gayundin ang kakulangan sa suplay ng pagkain.
“What I learned in having attended this ASEAN Summit is that marami talagang commonalities ang bawat bansa,” pagbabahagi nito.
Dagdag pa niya; “That actually is a good thing because nag-a-agree kami na ito ‘yung mga talagang problema, ito ‘yung mga dapat unahin natin. And it’s common. It’s price of food, the price of energy, the supply side problems.”
Napag-usapan din aniya nila ang hirap sa epekto ng mataas na inflation at ang pagbangon sa epekto ng pandemya.
Napag-usapan din ng mga lider ang missile testing ng North Korea, mga kaganapan sa South China Sea, digmaang Ukraine-Russia.
“If we do all of the things that we’re supposed to do, if we put all the structural elements in place, we can go back to the pre-pandemic situation where the main driver of the global economy was Southeast Asia,” dagdag pa ng Punong Ehekutibo.
