Ugnayan ng Pilipinas at Japan paiigtingin pa

Paiigtingin pa ng Pilipinas at Japan ang ugnayan ng dalawang pamahalaan.

Ito ang napagkasunduan nina Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. at Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida matapos ang maiksing pagpupulong sa sidelines ng Asean-Plus Three Summit na ginaganap ngayon sa Cambodia.

Bumilib si Kishida sa Pangulo nang unang magkausap noong Setyembre sa sidelines ng United Nations General Assembly sa New York.

“Next year will mark the 50th anniversary of the friendship and cooperation between Japan and Asean. And I look forward to advancing the cooperation between Asean and Japan,” pahayag ni Kishida kay Pangulong Marcos.

Tugon naman ng Pangulo: “All of the concepts that we first started to discuss when we were in New York, we are continuing to develop in our government so that when the time comes this concept that you have introduced to us on economic stability, is something… that ASEAN, the Philippines — we will continue to develop more of these ideas, and these concepts.”

Naniniwala ang Pangulo na makakamit nila ni Kishida ang mga hangarin basta’t magtutulungan lamang ang dalawang bansa.

Umaasa si Kishida na pauunlakan ng Pangulo ang imbitasyon na state visit sa Japan.

Katuwang ng Pilipinas ang Japan sa pagtugon sa disaster management, COVID-19 response, at infrastructure development.
