P2.45M halaga ng smuggled cigarettes, freezer van nasabat ng BOC-Davao

Naharang ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) – Port of Davao, ang 4250 reams ng smuggled cigarettes at isang freezer van sa Toril, Davao City
Aaabot sa P3 milyon ang halaga ng mga nasabat na kontrabando at ikinasa ang operasyon sa tulong ng AFP at PNP.
Nakumpiska ang mga ito sa isang police checkpoint ng Police Station 19 at Philippine Army – Task Force Davao noong nakaraang Oktubre 31.
Nabatid na may ilang indibiduwal ang naaresto at sila ay sasampahan ng Davao City Police ng smuggling.
Nagpalabas na si BOC Davao District Collector lawyer Erastus Sandino Austria ng Warrant of Seizure and Detention (WSD) para sa mga nakumpiskang smuggled items dahil sa paglabag sa ilang probisyon sa Republic Act No. 10863 o ang Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA).
