15,000 patay sa mainit na panahon sa Europe ngayon taon

Halos 15,000 katao ang namatay dahil sa mainit na panahon sa Europe, ayon sa World Health Organization (WHO).

Nabatid na ang pinaka-apektado ay ang Germany at Spain.

Tumindi ang tag-init simula Hunyo hanggang Agosto na nagresulta sa tagtuyot na huling naranasan noon pang Middle Ages.

Sa pagitan ng Hunyo at Hulyo umabot sa 40 degrees Celsius ang temperatura sa Britain.

“Based on country data submitted so far, it is estimated that at least 15,000 people died specifically due to the heat in 2022,” sabi ni WHO Regional Director for Europe Hans Kluge.

Nangungunang dahilan ng pagkamatay kaugnay sa maitinding mainit na panahon ang heat stress.

Delikado sa sobrang mataas na temperatura ng panahon ang mga may sakit sa puso, diabetes at hirap na sa paghinga.
