“So we have sent… Ang hinihingi ng karamihan ay tents. And the reason why is ayaw nilang — natakot silang bumalik sa bahay nila baka mag-aftershock tapos mahina ‘yung bahay, baka masaktan sila,” pahayag ng Pangulo.

Pinamamadali ng Pangulo na maibalik na ang suplay ng kuryente.

“But so the schools have closed for the day hangga’t matiyak na lahat ng mga school building ay safe para sa mga bata. So that was the first concern. The other concern right now is to make sure that power has come back. ‘Yung Ilocos Norte, the power has come back. Ilocos Sur, the power has come back. I’m waiting for the report from Abra. I think parts, the last I heard, the last parts of the – of Abra province have already have power restored,” pahayag ng Pangulo.

“But we’re monitoring. We do not have a critical problem when it comes to food and shelter. That is the most important part of the relief that we have to provide now for the people affected by the earthquake last night,” pahayag ng Pangulo.

Samantala, sa isang tweet, sinabi ng Pangulo na nakikipag-ugnayan na rin siya sa Department of Public Works and Highways para sa pag-iinspeksyon sa mga kalsada at gusali at sa Department of Social Welfare and Development para sa relief operations.

Nakipag-ugnayan na rin ang Pangulo sa Department of Energy para sa suplay ng kuryente at sa Department of the Interior and Local Government para sa monitoring.
