2023 P5.26T national budget target maaprubahan sa 3rd week ng Nobyembre
Umaasa si Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri na sa ikatlong linggo ng susunod na buwan ay maaaprubahan na sa Senado ang 2023 P5.268 trillion national budget.
Nagtapos noong nakaraang linggo ang Committee on Finance sub-committees’ hearings.
Naniniwala si Zubiri na nahimay sa mga isinagawang pagdinig ang mga programa ng mga ahensiya at paggamit ng kanilang pondo para matiyak na ang 4.9 porsiyentong pagtaas sa pambansang budget ay makatuwiran.
Aniya napakahalaga ng pambansang pondo para sa tuloy-tuloy na pagbangon ng bansa mula sa nagpapatuloy na pandemya.
“Of course, we are only halfway up the hill. There remains a lot more to be done in the plenary, where we will finalize the budget,” ani Zubiri.
Ayon kay Zubiri pagbalik ng sesyon sa Nobyembre, ilalatag na ni Sen. Sonny Angara, ang committee report ukol sa budget at kasunod na ang mga deliberasyon.
“With everyone keeping the same work ethic and urgency to the plenary, we expect to spend about two weeks in marathon plenary deliberations, and we would hopefully be able to approve the budget as early as the third week of November,” sabi nito.
