32.2 milyong scam / spam text messsages naharang ng Globe
Sa loob lamang ng dalawang linggo, mahigit 32.2 milyong text messages na may ‘clickable links’ ang naharang ng Globe Telecom.
Ang mga naturang text messages ay pinaniniwalaang scam o spam messages.
Nangangahulugan na simula Setyembre 28 hanggang Oktubre 13, may 2.4 milyong text messages ang naharang ng Globe kada araw.
“The amount of text messages with clickable links we blocked within just about two weeks shows the staggering number of spam and scam SMS that disrupt and threaten customers every day. This is empirical proof that our security measure was warranted,” ani Anton Bonifacio, ang Chief Information Security Officer ng Globe.
Sinimulan ng Globe ang hakbang bilang tugon sa dumadaming reklamo laban sa mapanlokong text messages.
Magpapatuloy ito hanggang sa maikasa na ang SIM Registration Act.
Nabatid na simula noong Enero hanggang noong nakaraang buwan, umabot na sa 1.3 bilyong text messages ang naharang ng Globe na higit pa sa 1.15 bilyon sa kabuuan ng 2021.
