Pagtalikod sa ‘chopper deal’ sa Russia paninindigan ni PBBM Jr
Determinado si Pangulong Marcos. Jr. na kanselahin nang tuluyan ang planong pagbili ng military helicopters ng Pilipinas sa Russia.
Tugon ito ng Pangulong Marcos sa pahayag ni Russian Ambassador Marat Pavlov na dapat na kilalanin pa rin ng Pilipinas ang pagbili sa16 miitary transport helicopters.
Sinabi pa ng Pangulo na may nahanap nang alternatibo ang Pilipinas na mapaglukunan ng helicopter, ang Estados Unidos.
“I think It is , it has already been determine, it was already determined by the previous administration that the deal will not carry through, will not go on. So, at meron na tayong ginawa, we have already, the deal with Russia was.. heavy lift helicopters and now we have secured an alternative supply from the United States through the.., ” pahayag ng Pangulo.
Umaasa na lamang ito na maibabalik sa Pilipinas kahit ang bahagi lamang ng naibayad na downpayment para sa mga helicopters.
