SC hindi naglabas ng TRO sa Comelec ruling sa Magsasaka Partylist
Masesentro na ang atensyon ni Magsasaka Partylist Representative Robert Nazal sa pagta-trabaho ngayon naglabas na ng desisyon ang Korte Suprema sa isyu sa kanilang grupo.
Hindi naglabas ng temporary restraining order (TRO) ang SC sa desisyon ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) na kilalanin siya nilang lehitimong kinatawan ng kanilang partylist group.
“With this ruling, we can now focus on our work in the House of Representatives and that is to introduce and pass legislation that would address the plight of our impoverished farmers,” diin ni Nazal.
Panahon ngayon, pagdiin ni Nazal, ng pagkakaisa dahil sa malaking hapon na kinahaharap ng bansa sa usapin ng food security.
Unang humirit sa SC ng TRO si dating Magsasaka Partylist Rep. Argel Joseph Cabatbat para sa kanyang petisyon sa naging desisyon naman ng Comelec na pumabor kay Soliman Villamin Jr., ang national chairman ng grupo.
Si Nazal ang naitalagang first nominee ng grupo nang magbitiw si Villamin, gayundin ang second at third nominee.
Noong Oktubre 10, naglabas ang Comelec en banc ng Certificate of Finality and Entry of Judgement kung saan idineklarang ‘final and executory’ ang desisyon na pumabor sa kampo ni Villamin.
