Nagsagawa ng sexual health awareness seminar ang National Housing Authority sa mga empleyado nito.
Ito ay bilang bahagi sa selebrasyon ng 47th Anniversary ng NHA.
Katuwang ng NHA ang Gender and Development Advocacy, Networking, and Public Communications Committee (GAD-ANPCC), at Information Division, CPD at LoveYourself Inc.
Ayon kay GAD ANPCC Head and Information Division Officer-in-Charge Maricris Maninit, layunin ng seminar na ipaintindi sa mga empleyado ang kahalagahan ng sexual health awareness.
“The NHA GAD Advocacy continuously promotes GAD programs, projects, and activities to inform every employee about gender issues such as sexual health,” pahayag ni Maninit.
Sinabi naman ni GAD Vice Chairperson and Finance Services Group Manager Atty. Parina Jabinal, na panahon na maitaas ang kamalayan ng tao sa kahalagahan kung paano nakaapekto ang sexual health lalo na ang mga tinamaan ng sakit na HIV dahil sa stigma at diskriminasyon.
“The seminar is timely and beneficial to NHA employees, especially those who have misconceptions about HIV. It is about time that we gain more knowledge and understanding of sexual health and self-care,” pahayag ni Jabinal.
