Itinalaga ni PNP Chief Rodolfo Azurin Jr., si Colonel Redrico Maranan bilang bagong director ng PNP Public Information Office (PIO).
Si Maranan ang ipinalit kay Brig. Gen. Roderick Alba, na itinalaga na bagong director ng Police Regional Office 7 (Central Visayas).
Kabilang si Maranan sa PNPA Patnubay Class of 1995 at may graduate degree in Management major in Development and Security, gayundin sa Business Administration sa Wesleyan University.
Bago maitalaga sa kanyang bagong posisyon, si Maranan ang deputy district director for Operations ng Quezon City Police District.
Sandali din siyang nagsilbing Chief of Staff ng PNP Drug Enforcement Group noong nakaraang taon.
Naging provincial police director siya sa Pangasinan matapos maging hepe ng pulisya sa Marikina City, Imus at Bacoor sa Cavite at company commander ng Cavite Provincial Mobile Force Company.
Nagsilbi din siyang field officer sa PNP – Aviation Security Group, Calabarzon Police, Southern Police District, Cebu City Police Office at Bicol Regional Police Office.
