Oktoberfest para sa ‘End Polio’ campaign ng Rotary Club Phils., inilunsad
Kasabay nang paggunita ng ‘End Polio Month’ ngayon Oktubre, nagdaos ang Rotary PREPR (Philipine Rotary in Emergency Preparedness and Response) ng Rotary Oktoberfest sa The Tent sa Solaire Resort & Casino.
Ang proyekto ay ginawa sa pakikipagtulungan ng German Club, Intercountry Committee Germany – Philippines at Rotary Clubs (Districts 3810, 3820 at 3830).
Ang kikitain sa fund-raising project ay mapupunta sa ‘End Polio Campaign,’ na isa sa mga pangunahing inisyatibo ng Rotary, gayundin sa mga isasagawang programa ng PREPR Foundation.
“Very much as it is our first fund-raising project in efforts to end polio, the money generated from this project will help sustain more of PREPRs disaster aid projects, like that of efforts to help victims of the recent Super Typhoon Karding, and more,” sabi ni PREPR President Jules Chanco.
Bago ito, nagkaroon muna ng pulong-balitaan sa German Club sa Legaspi Village sa Makati City.
Higit sa 1,000 Rotarians ang inaasahan na makikibahagi sa Oktoberfest.
