Korea-based consultancy firm ikinandado dahil sa illegal recruitment
Pinangunahan ni Migrant Workers Secretary Susan Ople ang pagpapasara sa isang immigration consultancy firm sa Makati City dahil sa diumanoy illegal recruitment..
Isinilbi ni Ople ang notice ng pagpapasara sa K-Monster Inc., sa Barangay San Lorenzo, kasama niya ang mga tauhan ng Anti-Illegal Recruitment Branch ng Department of Migrant Workers.
Bago ito, nagsagawa ng surveillance operations sa opisina at lumabas na nag-aalok ang mga ito ng trabaho bilang hotel workers, room attendants, cashiers, waiters, caregivers at factory workers sa Canada, Poland at The Netherlands.
Nabatid na ang main office ng K-Monster ay sa South Korea, na isang international talent solutions provider o staffing agency.
Ayon kay Ople, nanghihingi ang K-Monster ng P80,000 hanggang P220,000 bilang advance processing fees sa mga aplikante.
Tiniyak ng kalihim na tutulungan nila ang mga biktima sa pagsasampa ng mga kinauukulang kaso laban sa naturang ahensiya.
“The DMW is determined to protect our kababayans from the activities of illegal recruiters. At the same time, we ask that they remain vigilant and always check with the DMW before engaging the services of any company or establishment that promises jobs abroad,” ani Ople.
