Pangulong Marcos Jr., ‘hands-off’ sa kaso ni ex-Sen. Leila de Lima
Hindi makikialam si Pangulong Marcos Jr. sa kaso ni dating Senator Leila de Lima, ayon sa Malakanyang.
Ginawa ang pahayag kaugnay sa hirit ni Sen. Imee Marcos na hayaan si de Lima na sumailalim sa medical check-up at ‘home furlough.’
Ayon kay Press Usec. Cheloy Garafil, hahayaan na lamang ng Malakanyang ang korte na magdesisyon sa kahihinatnan ni de Lima.
“Ang mga kaso po ni De Lima nasa korte na. So hayaan na lang po natin ang mga abogado niya to make the proper motion. And the President cannot and will not intervene in any case that’s already with the courts,” pahayag ni Garafil.
Ayaw na rin ng Palasyo na makialam sa hirit ng ilan na iurong na ang kaso laban kay de Lima.
“As i said we’ll leave it up to courts to decide if she’s going to be freed based on the evidence or merits of her case,” ani Garafil.
