Walang interes si Transportation Undersecretary Cesar Chavez na pamunuan ang Office of the Press Secretary (OPS).
Ginawa ni Chavez ang pahayag matapos kabilang sa mga lumutang na maaring ipalit kay resigned Press Sec. Trixie Angeles ang kanyang pangalan.
Pagbabahagi nito, isang opisyal ng Malakanyang ang nagsabi sa kanya na ikinukunsidera siya para pamunuan ang OPS.
“I am a presidential appointee. Ang binanggit ko ay bigyan ako ng pagkakataon na i-process ang alok na ito and at the same time if there’s a chance, i-discuss kung anong puwedeng gawin but I’m not going to discuss that with you. Mas gusto ko sanang maprocess muna ‘yan bago sa media,” pahayag ni Chavez.
Kakausapin din aniya muna si Transportation Sec. Jaime Bautista ukol sa alok sa kanyang posisyon.
