Sen. Win Gatchalian may paalala sa NGCP para sa suplay ng kuryente
Ipinaalala ni Senator Sherwin Gatchalian sa National Grid Corporation of the Phils. (NGCP) ang mandato nito na kumontrata ng ancillary services para matiyak ang maayos na suplay ng kuryente.
Ikinatuwiran ni Gatchalian na dahil madalas na tamaan ng mapaminsalang bagyo ang Pilipinas, napakahalaga ang tuloy-tuloy na suplay ng kuryente para sa pagbibigay serbisyo at pangangailangan ng mga apektadong lugar.
“The flow of energy supply should be stable and dependable to ensure operational reliability and prevent power outages that adversely impact the lives of our people and the economy in general, NGCP must do its job and contract ancillary services,” diin nito.
Ginawa ng senador ang pahayag matapos ang pagtaas sa red alert mula sa yellow alert ang status ng suplay ng kuryente sa Luzon noong nakaraang buwan, bukod pa sa pagpapatupad ng rotational brownouts.
“Hindi dapat nagpapabaya ang NGCP sa tungkulin nito sa pag-contract ng ancillary services upang masiguro natin ang tuloy-tuloy na supply ng enerhiya at maiwasan ang perwisyo na dulot ng palagiang brownout sa ating mamamayan,” sabi pa ni Gatchalian.
Una nang insiyuhan ng Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) ang NGCP ng show cause order dahil sa kabiguan nitong makasunod na obligasyon na kumontrata ng ancillary services.
