P1.04 bilyong special risk allowance ng health workers, inilabas na ng DBM

Inalabas na ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) ang P1.04 bilyong Special Allotment Release Order (SARO) para sa special risk allowance (SRA) ng mga eligible public at private health workers na tumugon sa pandemya sa COVID-19.

Ayon kay Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, saklaw ng naturang pondo ang 55,211 health workers.

Nasa Department of Health na aniya ang naturang pondo.

Makatatangap aniya ang bawat health worker ng P5,000 sa kada buwan na nagsilbi sa mga pasyente ng COVID-19.

“We understand and recognize the selflessness and immense sacrifice that our health workers continue to pour out throughout these turbulent times. Isa po itong paraan sa pagkilala sa kanilang sakripisyo,” pahayag ni Pangandaman.

Kabilang sa mga qualified health workers ang medical, allied medical, at iba pang personnel na nakatalaga sa mga ospital at health care facilities na direktang tumugon sa mga pasyente ng COVID-19, persons under investigation (PUIs) o persons under monitoring (PUMs).

Ibinigay ang pondo base na rin sa nakasaad sa Republic Act (RA) No. 11494, o Bayanihan to Recover as One Act.
