Itinalaga ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. si dating Chief Justice Lucas Bersamin bilang bagong Executive Secretary.
Ito ang kinumpirma ni Press Secretary Trixie Angeles.
Papalitan ni Bersamin si dating Executive Secretary Vic Rodriguez na una nang nagbitiw sa puwesto matapos ang kontrobersiyal na planong pag-aangkat ng 300,000 metrikong toneladang asukal.
Ayon kay Angeles, nanumpa na si Bersamin kay Pangulong Marcos ngayong umaga sa Palasyo ng Malakanyang.
Sinabi pa ni Angeles na agad na sinimulan ni Bersamin ang trabaho sa pamamagitan ng pagdalo sa ika-siyam na Cabinet meeting sa Palasyo.
“Former Chief Justice Lucas Bersamin has taken his oath of office as Executive Secretary, before President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. He began his duties immediately by attending the 9th Cabinet meeting right after swearing in,” pahayag ni Angeles.
