P2.85-M halaga ng smuggled na sigarilyo sa Basilan, nasabat ng PCG
Nahuli ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Station Basilan ang isang bangka na mayroong kargang mga smuggled na sigarilyo sa karagatang sakop ng Lakit Island, Hadji Muhtamad, Basilan noong Setyembre 24.
Tinatayang aabot sa P2.85 milyon ang halaga ng mga kontrabando.
Nagsagawa ang Bureau of Customs (BOC) at PCG Station Basilan ng joint inventory matapos dalhin ang bangka sa PCG Sub-Station Maluso noong Setyembre 25.
Kasama rin sa operasyon ang Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Nag-inspeksyon din ang PCG K9 team sa mga kontrabando upang malaman kung mayroong presensya ng ilegal na droga.
Matapos ang inventory, dinala ang kontrabando sa BOC para sa proper disposition.
