P625-M halaga ng droga, huli sa unang ‘ber month’
Sa unang 17 araw ng Setyembre, umabot na sa higit P625 milyon ang halaga ng mga droga na nasamsam ng Philippine National Police (PNP).
Ayon kay PNP Chief Rodolfo Azurin Jr., ang mga droga ay nasamsam sa ikinasang 1,790 operasyon sa buong bansa at 1,952 ang naaresto at walang napatay na drug suspects sa mga operasyon.
Ibinahagi ng hepe ng pambansang pullisya na kabilang sa mga nasamsam ang 67.8 kilo ng shabu, 194 kilo ng marijuana at 701,000 fully grown marijuana.
Bukod dito, 3,142 wanted persons ang naaresto at nabuwag ang 13 organized crime groups, na nagresulta sa pagkaka-aresto ng 80 at pagsuko ng apat iba pa.
May 13 baril naman ang nakumpiska.
“These aggressive operations will be sustained in the weeks ahead leading to the Holiday season when we shall double our efforts in response to the exigency of the situation,” sabi ni Azurin Jr.
