Migrant Workers Department handang sumaklolo sa mga Pinoy sa Taiwan

Tiniyak ng Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) ang kahandaan na umalalay at magbigay tulong sa lahat ng overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) na naapektuhan ng malakas na lindol sa Taiwan kahapon.

Kasabay nito, ipinag-utos ni Sec. Susan Ople sa Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) at iba pang opisyal sa Taiwan na regular na mag-update sa kanyang tanggapan hinggil sa mga kaganapan matapos ang 6.6 magnitude earthquake.

“I would like to assure our over 147,000 OFWs in Taiwan and their families that the DMW is ready to provide the needed assistance, particularly for those whi have been affected by the earthquake,” ayon sa kalihim, na nasa US bilang bahagi ng delegasyon ni Pangulong Marcos Jr.

Wala naman Filipino na napabilang sa mga nasaktan sa pagyanig ng lupa.

Ibinahagi din ni Ople na walang dormitory at pinagta-trabahuhan ng mga Filipino ang napinsala bagamat nagpapatuloy ang ‘aftershocks.’
