Itinalaga ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang kapatid na si Mrs. Irene Romualdez Marcos Araneta bilang kanyang Special Representative sa State Funeral ni Queen Elizabeth II.
Ayon kay Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles, makakasama ni Araneta ang kanyang asawa na si Mr. Gregorio María Araneta III.
“Mrs. Marcos-Araneta and her spouse will be attending the events for the State Funeral beginning with the Lying-in-State of the Queen taking place today,” pahayag ni Angeles.
Pumanaw si Queen Elizabeth sa edad na 96.
Hindi makadadalo si Pangulong Marcos sa State Funeral dahil nasa New York ang Punong Ehekutibo para sa 77th United Nations General Assembly.
