Ex-DBM Usec. Lloyd Lao, lumutang na sa Senate probe sa DepEd laptop deal

Sa ikatlong pagdinig ng Senate Blue Ribbon Committee ukol sa kontrobersiyal na pagbili ng Department of Education (DepEd) ng bilyun-bilyong pisong halaga ng laptops, dumalo na si dating Department of Budget and Management – Procurement Service Undersecretary Lloyd Christopher Lao.

Sa unang bahagi ng pagdinig, inatasan ni Sen. Francis Tolentino si Lao na beripikahin ang kanyang mga pirma sa Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) sa pagitan ng DepEd at DBM.

Kinumprima naman ni Lao na pirma niya ang nasa naturang MOA.

Sa naunang dalawang pagdinig, sinabi ni Lao na hanggang sa MOA lang kanyang mga pirma para sa higit P2 bilyong halaga ng laptops na ibibigay naman sa public school teachers para sa pagkasa ng blended learning system.

Una nang nasangkot si Lao sa isinagawang pagdinig sa Senado sa sinasabing overpriced COVID-19 essentials na binili naman ng kanyang tanggapan para sa Department of Health (DOH).
