P69-M service fee ng PS-DBM sa pagbili ng DepEd laptops, hindi sulit – Gatchalian
Labis na nadismaya si Senator Sherwin Gatchalian nang malaman na binayaran ng Department of Education (DepEd) ng P69-million service fee ang Department of Budget and Management – Procurement Service (PS-DBM) para sa pagbili ng laptops ng public school teachers.
Sa pagdinig ng Senate Blue Ribbon Committee, inusisa ni Gatchalian kung tatlo o apat na porsyento ang service fee na natanggap ng PS-DBM mula sa P2.3 bilyong halaga ng laptops.
Sinabi ni Education Usec. Annalyn Sevilla na umabot sa P69 milyon ang ibinayad nila.
Hindi na napigilan ni Gatchalian ang saloobin at aniya, luging-lugi ang DepEd dahil aniya ang ginawang pagtatrabaho ng DBM – PS ay ‘sloppy.’
“And we’re hoping after the decades existence of the PS-DBM, they would have perfected the art of procurement. But obviously that is not the case,” diin ng senador.
Dagdag pa ni Gatchalian, “And yet various government agencies are paying as high three percent of their procurement price. In this particular case, P69-million for work that is obviously very sloppy and a lot of errors through out the process.”
