Multa sa mga huli sa NCAP, wala nang bawian – MMDA
Naninindigan ang Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) na hindi na maisosoli at mababawi ang mga ibinayad na multa, gayundin ang mga nahuli sa pamamagitan ng no contact apprehension policy.
Ipagdiinan ni Atty. Cris Saruca, ng MMDA Council Secretariat, na naging epektibo lamang ang polisiya matapos ilabas ng Korte Suprema ang kautusan na suspindihin muna ito.
Aniya, natanggap ng MMDA ang kopya ng utos bandang 5:30, Martes ng hapon (Agosto 30).
“So magmula noon, sa utos na rin ni MMDA Chairman Carlo Dimayuga ay hinto na ang implementation ng NCAP as well as the collection of fines after we received a copy of the TRO,” ani Saruca.
Una nang sinabi ni 1-Pacman Partylist Rep. Mikee Romero na ang mga naibayad sa multa ay dapat na isauli sa mga motorista.
“Now that the Supreme Court has issued a TRO against the policy, the concerned agencies and LGUs should reimburse the alleged violators the fines collected from them,” diin ni Romero.
