Trial period sa ‘no contact apprehension’ policy inihirit ni Sen. JV Ejercito

Naninindigan si Senator JV Ejercito na isalang muna sa trial period ang no contact apprehension policy (NCAP) bago ang ‘full implementation’ nito.

Kasunod na rin ito ng desisyon ng Korte Suprema na suspindihin ang pagpapatupad ng ilang lokal na pamahalaan ng naturang polisiya.

Sinabi ni Ejercito na bilang dating lokal na opisyal naiiintindihan niya ang hangarin ng ilang alkalde ng Metro Manila na modernisasyon ng pagpapatupad ng mga batas-trapiko para maiwasan ang korapsyon.

Ngunit ipinunto niya na bagong konsepto ang NCAP at hindi naging ganap ang pagpapaliwanag sa mekanismo mo nito.

“Since the No Contact Apprehension Program si still a new concept, not everyone is informed about its mechanics, not to mention the glitches that comes with automation,” dagdag ng senador.

Ayon pa kay Ejercito kasabay nang suhestiyon niya na anim na buwan na trial period ay ang pagkasa ng malawakang information drive ukol sa NCAP, gayundin ang pagsasa-ayos ng mga sinasabing ‘butas’ nito.

Samantala, ang Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ay nagsabi na tatalima sila sa utos ng Korte Suprema.
