BARMM, isinailalim sa state of calamity dahil sa malawakang pagbaha
Nagdeklara si Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim ng state of calamity sa rehiyon dahil sa nararanasang malawakang pagbaha bunga ng patuloy na pag-ulan.
Pinirmahan ni Ebrahim ang Proclamation No. 3 noong Agosto 18 ngunit isinapubliko ito noong Huwebes, Agosto 25, lamang.
Iiral ang deklarasyon hanggang sa katapusan ng darating na buwan ng Oktubre.
Simula noong Agosto 8, may matinding pagbaha sa malaking bahagi ng Maguindanao, Cotabato at Cotabato City.
Bunga nito, kontrolado na ang presyo ng mga pangunahing bilihin sa rehiyon at may pagkakataon ang mga lokal na pamahalaan na gamitin ang kanilang pondo sa kinakailangan pagtugon, partikular na sa rescue, recovery, relief at rehabilitation efforts.
“The declaration of state of calamity will provide augmentation to the ongoing response operations and recovery efforts of the Bangsamoro Government to the affected communities,” ang nakasaad sa proklamasyon.
