Sa kaniyang Facebook account, ibinahagi ni Cruz-Angeles na negatibo na siya na nakahahawang sakit bandang 11:48, Linggo ng gabi (Agosto 21).

Matatandaang nagpositibo si Cruz-Angeles sa COVID-19 noong Agosto 15.

Kasunod nito, hinikayat ni Cruz-Angeles ang publiko na magpabakuna at tumanggap ng booster shot upang magkaroon ng dagdag-proteksyon laban sa nakahahawang sakit.
