19 volcanic tremors, napaulat sa Bulkang Taal
Nakapagtala ang Phivolcs ng 19 volcanic tremors sa Bulkang Taal sa nakalipas na 24 oras.
Ayon sa Phivolcs, tumagal ng dalawa hanggang limang minuto ang volanic tremors, kasaman ang low-level background tremor.
Naitala rin ng ahensya ang 5,119 tonelada ng sulfur dioxide flux noong Agosto 17.
Lumikha ito ng plume na may taas na 1,500 metro na napadpad sa Hilagang-Silangan.
“Slight inflation of TVI and Western Taal Caldera, while deflation of Eastern Taal Caldera,” saad pa ng Phivolcs.
Sa ngayon, nananatili sa Alert Level 1 ang Bulkang Taal.
Patuloy naman ang rekomendasyon ng Phivolcs na bawal ang pagpasok sa Taal Volcano Island o TVI (Permanent Danger Zone), lalo na sa Main Crater at Daang Kastilla fissures, at pamamalagi sa lawa ng Taal.
Paalala pa ng Phivolcs, maaring makaranas ng biglaang steam o phreatic explosions, volcanic earthquakes, manipis na ashfall, o pag-ipon o pagbuga ng mga nakalalasong gas.
