Isa na aniya ang World Health Organization (WHO).

“At kung itigil natin ‘yung state of emergency, matitigil ‘yun. But if we can change — we are looking at amending the law in terms of procurement and all of that in the middle of an emergency,” pahayag ng Pangulo.

Sinabi pa ng Pangulo na maaaring palawigin ang State of Public Health Emergency hanggang sa katapusan ng taon.

Marso 8, 2020 nang lagdaan ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang Proclamation Number 922 na nagdedeklara ng State of Public Health Emergency sa buong bansa dahil sa COVID-19.
