COVID-19 vaccines, maaring ibebenta na sa 2023 – DOH

Inanunsiyo ng Department of Health (DOH) na maaring sa susunod na taon ay mabibili na sa mga botika at pasilidad pangkalusugan ang COVID 19 vaccines.

Ayon kay DOH Officer-in-Charge Maria Rosario Vergeire sa ngayon ang tanging may aplikasyon para sa Certificate of Product Registration (CPR) sa Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ay ang Janssen Pharmaceuticals, na gunagawa ng Johnson & Johnson COVID 19 vaccines.

Dagdag pa ni Vergeire na matagal na proseso ang pag-apruba sa CPR.

“Once a vaccine has a CPR, it can already be available commercially. Itong Janssen nag-submit na po sila, ini-evaluate iyan. But of course, alam niyo po na kailangan pag-aralan maigi because this is not EUA (emergency use authorization) anymore,” paliwanag ng opisyal.

Sa ngayon, tanging EUA lamang ang hawak ng vaccines’ manufacturers na ang mga bakuna ay itinuturok sa bansa.

Samantala, ibinahagi ni Vergeire na naglaan na ng pondo para sa pagbili ng tinatawag na ‘new generation’ COVID 19 vaccines.
