Libreng Sakay program, tatagal hanggang Disyembre
Tuloy ang biyahe ng Librang Sakay program ng gobyerno bunsod nang pagpapalabas ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) ng P1.4 bilyon.
Bunga nito, tatagal hanggang sa katapusan ng kasalukuyang taon ang Service Contracting Program, ayon sa Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
Sinabi ni LTFRB Chairperson Cheloy Garafil maari nang magamit ang pondo para sa pagpapalawig ng kontrata sa mga public transport operators sa ilalim ng EDSA Busway.
“We are happy and welcome this positive development and this means that the riding public is assured of the continuity of the free ride service until December,” ani Garafil.
Hiniling ng publiko ang pagpapalawig ng libreng sakay sa EDSA Carousel sa katuwiran na nakakatulong ito na mabawasan ang kanilang mga gastusin lalo na ngayon mataas ang presyo ng mga pangunahing bilihin.
