Karagdagang Temporary Offsite Passport Services binabalak ng DFA
Ikinukunsidera ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) ang pagdaragdag ng mga Temporary Offsite Passport Services (TOPS) para sa passport applications at renewals.
Kasunod na rin ito nang dumadaming booking appointments at ayon kay Foreign Affairs Asec. Henry Bensurto ito ay pangmadalian na solusyon lamang sa isyu ng kakulangan ng appointments.
Binanggit nito na nakapagdagag na sila ng ‘appointment slots’ hanggang sa Setyembre.
Ayon kay Bensurto, mangangailangan lamang ng suporta sa pondo mula sa Kongreso para sa karagdagang TOPS.
“We have put this as well on our proposed budget and hopefully we could have more offsites,” aniya.
Sa kasalukuyan, halos 20,000 Philippine passport applications ang kanilang pino-proseso sa buong mundo.
