P128-M nailabas ng DOLE sa pagtulong sa M7.0 earthquake
Higit P128 milyon na ang naipalabas ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) sa mga lugar na nais na naapektuhan ng magnitude 7.0 earthquake na yumanig sa Luzon kamakailan.
Sinabi ni Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma nabenipisyuhan ng nailabas na pondo ang 16,526 biktima ng lindol.
“The bulk of the assistance or over P57 million was mainly coursed through the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers or TUPAD,” sabi nito.
Ang TUPAD ang cash-for-work program ng kagawaran na ipinatutupad sa mga lugar na nasalanta ng sakuna o kalamidad.
“The remaining part of the fund went to financing our continuing programs such as skills training, government internship program, livelihood and AKAP,” sabi pa ni Laguesma.
Ang AKAP ay ang tulong-pinansiyal naman sa mga nagbalik na OFWs na naapektuhan ng krisis.
