COVID-19 growth rate ng Metro Manila, bumaba sa 5 porsyento – OCTA

Bumaba ang COVID-19 growth rate ng National Capital Region (NCR), ayon sa independent monitoring group na OCTA Research.

Sinabi ni OCTA Research fellow Dr. Guido David na kasabay ng naitalang 828 na bagong kaso ng nakahahawang sakit sa Metro Manila hanggang Agosto 9, bumaba sa limang porsyento ang one week growth rate sa NCR.

Bumaba rin ang reproduction number na nasa 1.17.

“This once again gives us hope that the peak of the wave in the NCR may occur by next week,” ani David.

Bahagya namang tumaas sa 1,275 ang seven-day average ng COVID-19 o 8.85 na average daily attack rate kada 100,000 sa Metro Manila.

Batay pa sa datos, nasa 35.7 porsyento ang healthcare ulitization rate, habang tumaas sa 31 porsyento ang ICU occupancy.

Dagdag ni David, bumaba rin ang positivity rate sa NCR na nasa 15.9 porsyento.

“The trends need to be consistent for about a week before we can confidently say there is a downward trend,” ani David.

Patuloy ang paalala nito sa publiko na manatiling ligtas at sundin ang health protocols.
