Expiring COVID-19 vaccines, papalitan ng COVAX Facility
Inanunsiyo ng Department of Health (DOH) na papalitan ng COVAX Facility ng World Health Organization (WHO) ang mga nag-expire at malapit nang mag-expire na COVID-19 vaccines.
Ang mga papalitan na bakuna ay ang mga binili ng pribadong sektor, maging ng gobyerno at mga lokal na pamahalaan.
“Ang ating mga expiring vaccines, we had an agreement with the COVAX Facility, that these will all be replaced. Lahat po, even those that have expired from the private sector and local government units ay papalitan ng COVAX facility,” sabi ni Health Officer-in-Charge Ma. Rosario Vergeire.
Paglilinaw lang din nito, 6.6 porsiyento lamang ng mga bakuna ang nasayang at mababa pa sa itinakda ng WHO na limitasyon na 10 porsiyento.
Ayon pa kay Vergeire, hindi naman kailangang madaliin ang pag-deliver ng mga kapalit dahil marami pang bakuna sa bansa.
