Kumpiyansa si Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. na nasa tamang landas ang Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
Sa change of command ceremony sa Camp Aguinaldo sa Quezon City, sinabi ng Pangulo na tamang lider si AFP Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Bartolome Bacarro para pamunuan ang Hukbong Sandatahang Lakas ng Pilipinas.
Ayon sa Pangulo, nasa bagong paglalakbay ang AFP para mapabuti at mapalakas ang militar.
“I am sure that we will all now know that we have a reliable partner in the AFP under the helm of Gen. Bacarro as we commenced the difficult undertaking of rebirth and restoration of the republic, transforming the country into a haven that is safe, secure, peaceful and prosperous for all, present and future Filipinos, to enjoy. this has been long overdue and? this time to get to work and be the best that we can be in our respective capacities as public servants united in purpose and in deed,” pahayag ng Pangulo.
Sinabi pa ni Marcos na sa uri ng pamumuno ni Bacarro, tiyak na makakayanan nito na malagpasan ang anumang uri ng hamon sa bansa.
“As we look and think about a world that is constantly changing, a world wrought with conditions and situations that are hard to predict, a world full of elements and forces that can wreak havoc on its domain, the kind of leadership that you possess, the strong presence, the administrative and operational proficiency, unmatched discipline and unwavering commitment will come in useful for the work you are facing ahead of you,” saad nito.
Batid ng Pangulo na hindi naman madali ang landas na tatahakin ni Bacarro.
“It will be sometimes treacherous, always complex. it will be difficult and at times seemingly unbearable, but with the AFP beside us assisting and putting in place the fundamental perquisites for nation building, we shall overcome and emerge victorious in the end together, a meaningful change in the lives of many can be realized. I know that it can be done and that is why we shall,” ani Marcos.
Sa huli, pinasalamatan ng Pangulo si Bacarro, maging si outgoing Chief of Staff General Andres Centino.
Una nang itinalaga ng Pangulo si Bacarro na isang Medal for Valor awardee bilang ika 58 Chief of Staff ng AFP.
Malaki naman ang pasasalamat ni Bacarro sa tiwalang ipinagkaloob sa kanya ng Pangulo.
