Wala pang marching order si Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. kay bagong Philippine National Police (PNP) chief General Rodolfo Azurin Jr.
Ayon kay Press Secretary Beatrix “Trixie” Cruz-Angeles, pangunahing mandato ng PNP ay panatilihin ang kapayapaan at kaayusan ng bansa.
“One, we don’t normally react. Okay, there are no marching orders that we know of. The primary mandate of the PNP is to keep order. So, peace and order ang kanilang primary na mandato. Pagkatapos niyan ay sila din po ang primary executors, they execute the law, they enforce the law. So beyond that, the President has not made any other specific orders,” pahayag ni Angeles.
“Paalala ko lang po, bahagi din naman po sa peace and order program ng Presidente iyong continuity. So, whatever it was that has already been there from the past administration, if it works, we continue that program,” dagdag ni Angeles.
