Laudiangco, mananatili bilang Comelec acting spokesperson
Mananatili si Atty. John Rex Laudiangco bilang acting spokesperson ng Commission on Elections (Comelec).
Base sa inilabas na memorandum na may petsang Agosto 3, sinabi ng bagong talagang Comelec chairman na si George Erwin Garcia na mananatili sa nasabing posisyon si Laudiangco.
“You are to retain your designation as Acting Spokesperson of this Commission effective immediately,” saad sa memorandum.
Unang naitalaga si Laudiangco bilang tagapagsalita ng poll body sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni dating Comelec chair Saidamen Pangarungan.
Napili ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte si Pangarungan bilang pinuno ng poll body noong Marso 9, ngunit na-bypass ng Commission on Appointments ang kaniyang nominasyon noong Hunyo, kasama si Garcia.
Nitong Agosto 1, itinalaga ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. si Garcia bilang Comelec chair.
