Itinalaga ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. si Dr. Samuel Zacate bilang chief ng Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Si Zacate ay lead physician o doktor ni Pangulong Marcos.
Pero ayon kay Angeles, kwalipikado si Zacate sa posisyon.
Si Zacate ay kilalang public health advocate na may ilang taong expertise sa medicine at medical consultancy sa iba’t ibang tanggapan ng pamahalaan, kabilang na ang Public Attorney’s Office (PAO).
Nagsilbi rin si Zacate sa Presidential Security Group Hospital mula noong 2009 hanggang 2022.
Bago naitalaga sa FDA, nagsilbi si Zacate bilang diplomate ng Philippine Society for Venereology at fellow ng International College of Surgeons.
