289 Pinoy umuwi sa Pilipinas dahil sa ‘illegal alien crackdown’ sa Kuwait
Nakabalik na sa Pilipinas ang 289 Filipinos na hinuli sa Kuwait kasabay ng ‘crackdown’ sa mga illegal migrant worker, Martes ng gabi (Agosto 2).
Sinalubong ng mga tauhan ng Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) at Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) ang mga umuwing Filipino, na sakay ng isang chartered Philippine Airlines flight PR 8764.
Nabatid na 245 sa deportees ang mula sa Kuwaiti Deportation Center at kabilang din sa mga umuwi ang tatlong buntis, tatlong maysakit at limang mag-ina.
Bibigyan ang mga ito ng pansamantalang matutuluyan habang naghihintay ng pag-uwi sa kanila-kanilang probinsiya.
Sasailalim din sila sa pyscho-social counselling, stress debriefing at medical referrals.
