Habambuhay na ang bisá ng birth, death, marriage certificates

METRO MANILA, Philippines — Ganap nang batas ang panukalang magíng habambuhay ang bisà ng birth certificate, death certificate, at marriage certificate mula sa Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), National Statistics Office (NSO), at maging ang mga dokumentong inilabas ng local civil registries at Philippine foreign service posts.

Si Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. ang may-akdâ at principal sponsor ng naturang panukalà.

Ibinahagi ni Revilla ang kopya ng liham mulâ sa Malacañang upang ipaalám na nag-lapse into law ang panukalà.

Pirmado ni Executive Secretary Vic Rodriguez ang nasabing liham.

Sa ilalim ng Republic Act No. 11909 — o Permanent Validity of the Certificates of Live Birth, Death, and Marriage Act — hindí na kailangang gumastos at maglaán ng panahón ang taumbayan para kumuha ng bagong certificate.

“Sa kabilâ ng hirap ng buhay dulot ng pandemya at pagtaás ng presyo ng mga bilihin, ikinagagalák pô natin ang pagpasa ng mga tinindigán nating panukalang gaya nitó alang-alang sa kapakanán ng ating mamamayán, lalo na ng mga mag-aarál at manggagawaà,” saád ng senador.
