DOH pinagbilinan ni Sen. Nancy Binay na paigtingin ang paghahanda kontra monkeypox
Hiniritan ni Senator Nancy Binay ang Department of Health (DOH) na paigtingin pa ang ginagawang paghahanda at gagawing pagtugon laban sa banta ng monkeypox sa bansa.
Kasabay na rin ito ng patuloy na pagsusumikap ng gobyerno na maayos ang mga butas sa ginagawang pagtugon sa pandemya na dulot ng COVID-19.
Umaasa aniya siya na sa mga aral na idinulot ng pandemya ay mas handa ang DOH, gayundin ang Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), para sa mga maari pang ‘outbreak’ ng sakit.
Nais ng senadora na magtalaga ng special units ang DOH sa mga ospital kasabay nang pagsisimula ng information drive ukol sa monkeypox virus.
“Naririyan na yung framework na ginamit natin (There still exists our framework) during the height of the Covid pandemic. We can fuse the 3T strategy (tracing, testing, treatment) on Covid with DOH’s current 4-door strategy (prevention, detection, isolation, treatment) versus monkeypox,” dagdag pa ni Binay.
