LTFRB nagbayad na ng P445.6 milyon sa EDSA Busway drivers, operators
Nabayaran na ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) ang P445.66 milyong obligasyon sa drivers at operators ng Public Utility Bus (PUB) na bumibiyahe sa EDSA Busway sa ilalim ng Libreng Sakay ng Service Contracting Program (SCP) ng pamahalaan.
Nabayaran ito ni LTFRB chairman Atty. Cheloy Velicaria-Garafil sa loob lamang ng isang buwang panunungkulan.
Ayon kay Garafil, ang P445.46 milyon ay na-disburse na bayad para sa week 6 hanggang week 13 ng SCP Phase 3.
Sa ngayon, pinoproseso na aniya ng LTFRB ang bayad para sa week 14 at 15.
Nakikipag-ugnayan aniya ang LTFRB sa PUB consortia na nagsasagawa ng operasyon sa EDSA Busway para naman sa bayad sa week 16.
“LTFRB will continue to address issues and concerns with regard to the current public land transportation system in line with the mandates of the new administration to improve the lives of our operators & drivers and the commuting public,” pahayag ni Garafil.
