Medardo de Lamos, itinalaga bilang bagong director ng NBI
Itinalaga ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. si National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Assistant Director Medardo de Lamos bilang bagong director ng ahensya.
Ito ang inanunsyo ni Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles.
“Director De Lemos rose from the ranks and his appointment as NBI Director is a strong indication of President Marcos’ commitment in strengthening the system of ‘meritocracy’ in the promotion, placement and hiring of government personnel,” pahayag ni Angeles.
Si de Lamos ay isang abogado at career officer sa NBI ng mahigit 30 taon.
Naitalaga na rin si de Lamos ni Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla bilang NBI officer-in-charge (OIC).
Papalitan ni de Lamos si Eric Distor.
Ang NBI ay nasa ilalim ng DOJ na inaatasang magsagawa ng imbestigasyon sa mga malakaking krimen sa bansa.
Nagtapos si de Lamos sa University of the Philippines (UP) College of Law noong 1983 at NBI Academy sa Tagaytay noong 1985.
Nakakuha si de Lamos ng Career Executive Service Officer Rank (CESO) noong 2003.
