Namataan ang sentro ni Ester sa 550 kilometers east ng Itbayat, Batanes.
Ayon sa Pagasa, mananatiling tropical depression si Ester sa susunod na 36 oras.
Taglay ni Ester ang hangin na 45 kilometers per hour at pagbugso na 55 kiloemters per hour.
Inaasahang lalabas ng Philippine Area of Responsibility si Ester ng 8:00 ng gabi sa July 31.
Maaring mag-landfall si Ester sa bisinidad ng Ryukyu Islands bukas ng hapon o gabi.
