P2.5-M halaga ng Ketamine na isinilid sa picture frame, nasamsam ng BOC
Sa gitna ng pinaigting na border protection measures, nasamsam ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) – Port of Clark ang 500 gramo ng Ketamine na tinatayang nagkakahalaga ng P2.5 milyon.
Katuwang ng BOC sa operasyon ang Customs Anti-Illegal Drug Task Force (CAIDTF), Enforcement and Security Service (ESS), Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS), X-ray Inspection Project (XIP), at Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Tumambad sa mga awtoridad angm mga ilegal na droga sa isang kargamento na nagmula sa Madrid, Spain.
Nakita sa physical examination ang dalawang malaking picture frame, kung saan nakasilid ang hinihinalang ilegal na droga.
Nang dalhin ito sa PDEA para sa chemical laboratory analysis, nakumpirmang Ketamine ang laman ng naturang kargamento.
Naglabas ng Warrant of Seizure and Detention (WSD) si District Collector Alexandra Lumontad laban sa shipment dahil sa paglabag sa Sections 118 (g), 119 (d), at 1113 (f) ng Republic Act 10863, na may koneksyon sa Section 4 ng Republic Act 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
