Pangulong Marcos, nais palakasin ang kaalaman ng publiko ukol sa monkeypox
Nais ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. na palakasin pa anng awareness o kaalaman ng taong bayan kaugnay sa bagong sakit na monkeypox.
Pahayag ito ng Palasyo matapos kumpirmahin ng Department of Health (DOH) na nakapagtala na ang Pilipinas ng unang kaso ng monkeypox.
Ayon kay Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles, pangunahing concern ng Pangulo na maipakalat ang impormasyon para maging aware ang taong bayan at mag-ingat.
“So his primary concern was to get the information out so that people will be aware, but also to be aware that the systems of the DOH are in place and that this is not the same as COVID,” pahayag ni Angeles.
Sinabi pa ni Angeles na sa ngayon, isang kaso pa lamang ng monkeypox ang naitatala sa Pilipinas.
“First of all, it’s only one case, number one. Number two, as you can see, it doesn’t affect the entire population. Number three, this is not like COVID that can be spread by air very easily and could possibly be fatal. This is not particularly fatal, but it is of concern,” pahayag ni Angeles.
