Isusumite na ng Department of Budget and Managament (DBM) sa Kongreso sa susunod na linggo ang P5.2 trilyong panukalang national budget para sa taong 2023.
Ayon kay Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles, sa ngayon, binabalangkas na ng DBM ang budget.
“Topmost of course is still the rightsizing but the same priorities hold to the constitution requires the biggest budgetary allocation for education. So it’s still the same. Hindi masyado nagbago from last year. I would like to remind you most of the budget was created by the last administration,” pahayag ni Angeles.
Saklaw ng budget ang mga programa na may kinalamaman sa edukasyon, kalusugan, social safety nets, imprastraktura at agrikultura.
Hindi naman matukoy ni Angeles kung magkanong budget ang nakalaan para sa COVID-19 response.
Inaayos pa kasi aniya hanggang sa ngayon ang panukalang budget.
“We don’t have details kasi pina-fine-tune. The presentation was for today so that the secretaries can fine-tune the particular budgets. It will be finalized and then submitted to Congress next week,” pahayag ni Angeles.
