Reporma sa pamamahala at imprastraktura ng tubig nais ni Sen. Grace Poe
Muling inihain ni Senator Grace Poe ang kanyang panukala na gagarantiya ng malinis at ligtas na tubig sa bawat Filipino.
Aniya, layon ng kanyang Senate Bill No. 102 o ang National Water Resource Management Act na magkaroon ng mas maayos na pangangasiwa ng water resources sa bansa.
“Water shortage should not be a way of life. We expect reforms in water governance and infrastructure the way the Filipinos deserve this basic utility as an essential human right,” diin ng namumuno sa Senate Committee on Public Services.
Sinabi nito na kailangang maging garantisado ang proteksyon ng interes ng sambayanan.
Nais ni Poe na magkaroon ng Department of Water Resources para may pinag-isang pangangasiwa sa water resources sa bansa.
Laman din panukala ang pagkakaroon ng Water Regulatory Commission para naman sa regulasyon sa water utilities.
“Water is essential to our daily lives. It is fundamental to our survival and growth. We must manage this resource efficiently to ensure that our people’s needs are sufficiently met,” sabi pa ni Poe.
